Information we collect

We collect account details such as your name, email address, and phone number; profile images; listings and comments you submit; messages and transaction-related activity; the student document image you submit for verification; and a browser push token if you opt in to push alerts.

How we use information

What is visible

Your public profile name, profile image, student verification badge, listings, listing images, and comments may be visible to people using Skoop. Account email and phone number are stored in private account records. If you create a listing, your saved phone number is also shown on your public profile so buyers can contact you through WhatsApp. Messages are available to their conversation participants. Do not include personal contact details in public listing text or comments.

Student verification documents

Verification images are stored in a private storage bucket and are made available to authorized reviewers through temporary links. Do not upload documents that are not needed to confirm your student status. Contact us to request removal of a submitted document.

Service providers

Skoop uses Firebase for authentication, marketplace data, and push delivery; Cloudinary for profile and listing images; and Supabase for private verification document storage and push delivery. These providers process information to provide their services.

Retention and your choices

We keep information for as long as needed to operate the service, review verification, respond to safety concerns, and meet applicable obligations. To request access, correction, or deletion of your information or account, contact thisisskoop@gmail.com. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or to resolve safety issues.
